With a diverse background in electrical, management and business practices that span various industries and roles, I have always embraced new challenges and opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally.

Early Career

I began my professional journey in the United States Navy, where I quickly realized my passion for Electrical work, teamwork, team building and dynamic strategies. My initial role as a naval electrical apprentice and team leader allowed me to develop foundational skills and gain valuable insights into the industry. This experience was instrumental in shaping my career path and igniting my enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.

 

Mid-Career Achievements

As I advanced in my career, I took on increasingly challenging roles that tested my abilities and broadened my expertise. Two of the most significant milestones was my tenure at both MEI and then Wayne J Griffin Electric inc., where I served as a vice president and senior project manager. As a vice president I worked closely with the president developing, training and enforcing company policies, procedures and compliance related items. As a senior Project Manager I led project teams, through many small and large construction projects keeping them on time, on budget and within the stake holder expectations. These accomplishments not only demonstrated my leadership skills but also reinforced my belief in the power of collaboration, teamwork and innovation.

 

Professional Development

Recognizing the importance of staying current with industry trends and best practices, I pursued various professional development opportunities. I obtained multi state electrical master licenses and earned my Project Management Certificate through the University of Phoenix, which enhanced my knowledge and credibility. Additionally, I attended numerous conferences and workshops, where I networked with industry experts and exchanged ideas on cutting-edge developments, leadership strategies and operational excellence.           

 

Current Role

As Director of Operations at MEI Electrical Contractors, I oversee daily operations, set strategic goals, develop long-term plans, improve processes for efficiency, and ensure financial objectives are met. My focus is on driving initiatives that align with the company's vision while working with managers and employees to achieve operational excellence.

 

Personal Philosophy

My professional philosophy centers around the principles of integrity, innovation, commitment, dedication and impact. I believe that true success is achieved through ethical practices, creative problem-solving, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. These values guide my decision-making and interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

 

Community Engagement

Beyond my work responsibilities, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community. I actively participate in electrical apprenticeship programs where I contribute my time and skills to support individuals seeking a career in the electrical industry. This involvement not only enriches my personal life but also reinforces my dedication to social responsibility, helping others find a career path and giving back to the communities we serve. I am also involved in my community’s church helping lead up men’s breakfast once a month and closing out the Sunday services. I have a deep routed faith in God that has guided my life.
